Who we are
Compound Vibes is a free weekly newsletter and the website compoundvibes.com. Compound Vibes is the controller of your personal data. To contact us about your data, reply to any newsletter email.
What we collect
Your email address and basic subscription metadata (for example when you subscribed and which emails you opened or clicked, if the newsletter platform records that). We do not ask for anything else.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your email address only to send you the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you subscribe. Where the platform supports it, we use double opt-in, which means you confirm your subscription by email. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who processes your data
- beehiiv (newsletter platform, based in the United States) stores subscriber data and sends the emails. Transfers outside the EU rely on standard contractual clauses.
- Netlify hosts this website and may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs when you visit.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service that measures page views and referrers without tracking individuals across sites and without using cookies. No personal profile is built. Cloudflare acts as our processor, and the legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. This website does not use advertising trackers and does not set cookies itself.
The subscribe page is hosted by beehiiv and may set its own cookies; beehiiv's own privacy policy applies to it.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe. Every email contains an unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we stop sending, and you can ask us to delete your data entirely.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, reply to any newsletter email. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Slovenia this is the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec); you may also contact the authority in your own EU country.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. See also our Terms.
